Our Story

Kaleidoscope Penguin Collective is the dream of two husbands, Michael and Andy, who believe that community is something you build on purpose.

We've been through more than our share of life's twists and turns. Along the way, we've learned that creativity, laughter, and showing up for one another can make even the hardest seasons a little lighter.

When we're not working, you'll usually find us covered in paint, sawdust, or drywall dust while restoring our 1904 home one project at a time. It's slower than we'd like because, like so many people, we're balancing big dreams with everyday realities. Sometimes that means making progress only after the bills are paid.

We both care deeply about our community and believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to belong, create, and be seen. We believe creativity can bring people together across backgrounds, generations, and perspectives. In a world that often feels divided and increasingly lived through screens, we need more places where people can gather in person, make something with their hands, share a conversation, laugh, learn from one another, and build real relationships.

Kaleidoscope Penguin Collective grew from that belief. We wanted to create the kind of place we were always looking for: somewhere people could learn something new, make things with their hands, meet interesting humans, support local artists, and leave feeling a little more connected than when they arrived.

This space isn't just about crafts. It's about curiosity. It's about belonging. It's about investing in one another and the community we share.

Whether you're joining us for a workshop, a game night, a lecture, a wine tasting, or simply stopping by to say hello, we're glad you're here.

Welcome to our little corner of the world.
